STM Presentation Event – Advancing Railway Communication

STM Presentation Event – Advancing Railway Communication

We are pleased to announce a significant milestone in railway communication: the STM (Specific Transmission Module) project. Developed in collaboration between INOV – INESC Inovação and Nomad Tech, this groundbreaking initiative aims to propel national railway systems towards the European standard, ERTMS (European Railway Traffic Management System).

The STM project focuses on creating a dedicated STM solution that enables seamless communication between the existing railway infrastructure system and the ERMTS system embedded in rolling stock. By fostering improved communication and interoperability, this innovative development has the potential to revolutionize railway operations and enhance safety measures.

We are excited to invite you to a special presentation event, where we will unveil the remarkable progress achieved through the STM project. Join us on July 21st, at 10 am, at Nomad Tech’s installations in Guifões, as we showcase the advancements in railway communication and discuss the exciting potential of this project.

Exploring the Future of Blockchain Solutions for Sustainability on Carbon Credits

Exploring the Future of Blockchain Solutions for Sustainability on Carbon Credits

IEEE @ Home Blockchain Series

At INOV – INESC Inovação, we recognize the significant influence of historical events and uncontrollable factors on the trajectory of our planet’s future. However, we firmly believe that technology holds immense transformative potential for the “green” industry. The data we have today can create a profound impact on shaping a sustainable future by providing valuable insights into measuring carbon footprints, suggesting predictive actions, and facilitating the adoption of sustainability initiatives.

In line with this vision, we are excited to be associated with the IEEE @ Home Blockchain Series. The latest event in this series is dedicated to exploring the intersection of blockchain, carbon credits, and IoT in driving sustainable practices and combating climate change. Through cutting-edge technologies, we can ensure accurate carbon footprint measurement and reliable VCU (Verified Carbon Unit) quality calculation and assurance.

We invite you to join us for an online talk by Marco Carvalho and João Carlos Simões, Blockchain Leaders at Celfocus, on July 7, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. (UTC+1 Lisbon time). This one-hour session, conducted in English, promises to expand your knowledge and inspire you with the remarkable possibilities that lie at the forefront of sustainable solutions.
