The 16th edition of SCEE – International Conference on Scientific Computing in Electrical Engineering took place in Lisbon from 4 to 8 May, bringing together international researchers and specialists in scientific computing applied to electrical engineering. The conference was organised by INOV, INESC-ID and Instituto Superior Técnico.

Over five days, SCEE 2026 featured oral and poster presentations, technical sessions and invited talks covering topics such as Computational Electromagnetics, Circuit Simulation and Device Modelling, Coupled Problems and Modelling, Mathematical and Computational Methods, and Bioengineering / Biomedical Electrical Engineering. The conference also maintained its distinctive no-parallel-session format, encouraging interaction across scientific domains.

The programme included invited contributions from internationally recognised researchers, including Christophe Geuzaine, Yvonne Späck-Leigsnering, Manfred Kaltenbacher and Valentín de la Rubia, further reinforcing SCEE’s role as a European forum for high-level scientific discussion in these fields.

The conference concluded with the announcement of the Best Paper Award winners: Amine El Mehdi Zekri (1st place), Peter Förster (2nd place) and Felix Engertsberger (3rd place).
