FAQtos 2022 Award Ceremony


The ceremony of the FAQtos 2022 Award will take place on 16 July (Saturday), in the afternoon, at the Congress Centre of the Instituto Superior Técnico.

The ten finalist teams will present their projects to the final jury that will select the 3 winners of the FAQtos 2022 Award. The final jury includes representatives from the FAQtos team, from the education area, from companies and from official entities.

The FAQtos Award is a national competition aimed at all secondary school students from all areas and courses, regardless of the nature of the school. This year the theme chosen for the creation of the projects was “Radio Frequencies and Society”.

T-SESSION | IoT and Smart Cities

T-SESSION | IoT and Smart Cities

On 30 June, at 5pm, we’ll be talking about Iot and Smart Cities – Applied Projects with Professor João Ferreira (INOV/ISCTE).

The session will cover the vision of IoT systems and their applications in smart cities, with examples of collaboration with Lisbon City Council and companies. It will also discuss the role of universities in terms of training and interaction with public and private organisations.

Fish2Fork | Summer School ISCTE-INOV-Molde University

Fish2Fork | Summer School ISCTE-INOV-Molde University

The registrations for the ISCTE-INOV-Molde University summer school of project Fish2Fork, promoted by INOV, are now open.

The main objective of the project aims at creating a network of competences to ease information sharing and cooperation among all Fish sector stakeholders and bring best practices from Norwegian fish farms to Portugal and improve fish control process and associated Supply Chain (SC).

INOV takes part in C-Days 2022

INOV will be present at the 8th edition of C-DAYS, dedicated to the theme “Investing in Prevention”.

The national event on cybersecurity, organised by CNCS – Centro Nacional de Cibersegurança (National Cybersecurity Centre), has a programme of sessions from June 7 to 9, in which INOV is taking part with the following interventions:

Passenger Terminal EXPO2022

Filipe Apolinário, cybersecurity engineer at INOV, participates in Passenger Terminal Expo 2022 as part of the work developed on the project SATIE. The following topics will be addressed at the round table:

  • The tools developed by INOV in this context: BP-IDS, BIA and ComSEC
  • The benefits obtained in the protectiion of the baggage management system
  • The results of the demo held in Zagreb

20 May 2022 | ENSURESEC Closing Conference

The closing conference of ENSURESEC project, coordinated by INOV, will take place 20 May 2022, in on-line format and open to partners, e-commerce and cybersecurity stakeholders and all interested in these issues.

At the event, the consortium will present the project’s main results, including the toolkit developed, the cyberaware.eu training campaign, and the main conclusions of the pilots.
