Public transport mobile ticketing system

Objective

The NFC4SURE project developed an integrated solution for mobile ticketing with existing technology without the need for a hardware security element in the mobile device and permanent online interaction.

INOV’s Participation

INOV’s contribution to this project is twofold:

• Development of a SAM (Secure Access Module) compatible with most current ticketing technologies to facilitate the integration of new solutions into existing public transport networks;
• Design of a secure virtual element (VirtualCard) available both offline and online (cloud), using an innovative cryptographic protocol and taking into account a risk model appropriate to the business.
