Optimising Energy Systems in Smart Cities

Objective

The e-balance project researches into:

• Economic and social aspects of the energy efficiency obtained by distributed and decentralized energy control and management
• Decentralized power management with increased local decision support, including intelligent power generation, consumption and storage
• Management and energy balance algorithms for multilevel energy production, consumption and distribution
• Monitoring of the low voltage distribution grid and algorithms for improving the grid resilience
• Real life demos in the distribution grids of DSOs in Portugal and The Netherlands

The project ended in 2017.
