e-BALANCE

e-balance was co-funded by the European Union’s FP7 programme under grant agreement No 609132.
Optimising Energy Systems in Smart Cities
Objective
The e-balance project researches into:
- Economic and social aspects of the energy efficiency obtained by distributed and decentralized energy control and management
- Decentralized power management with increased local decision support, including intelligent power generation, consumption and storage
- Management and energy balance algorithms for multilevel energy production, consumption and distribution
- Monitoring of the low voltage distribution grid and algorithms for improving the grid resilience
- Real life demos in the distribution grids of DSOs in Portugal and The Netherlands
The project ended in 2017.
