Advanced Low Flying Aircrafts Detection and Tracking

Objective

ALFA’s main objective is to develop a system for timely detection, classification and understanding of the intentions of suspected air targets used in traffic of drugs, weapons, and other illicit substances along coastal borders.

Impact

ALFA’s mission is to bridge capability gaps in current surveillance systems with respect to detection of low, small, and slow manned and unmanned flying vehicles.

INOV Participation

INOV will work on the development of algorithms for electro-optical sensors that allow detection small aircraft for subsequent classification and trajectory prediction.

The project ended in 2019.
