INESC Group calls for the participation of young scientists for a prize of 20.000 euros

The application period for the 2nd Vencer O Adamastor Award, an initiative promoted by INESC in partnership with the Público newspaper, is now open. The aim of the award is to recognize and reward the work of young scientists in Portugal. Aimed at researchers up to 40 years old, this award aims to highlight innovative work in the areas of electrical engineering, computing, and related fields, which demonstrate scientific excellence and show potential for developments that benefit society.

With a total value of 20,000 euros, this award is a unique opportunity for young Portuguese scientists to stand out and be recognized for their innovative work and significant contributions to these research fields. In addition to the financial reward, the Vencer O Adamastor Award provides valuable visibility to the winners, increasing their opportunities for collaboration and professional growth.

Applications will be open until October 16, 2023. After this deadline, a jury composed of experts will evaluate the submitted work, taking into consideration criteria of scientific excellence, relevance, and social impact. The jury will be responsible for selecting the winning project, which will be awarded the sum of 20,000 euros.
